Students need ample space to learn, and Hord Caplan Macht's renovation of DC Bilingual both modernized and expanded the existing building giving the kids room to learn, play and grow!
The project converted the school into a LEED Gold-certified building emphasising the importance of sustainability. Also, connecting the building back to nature, the composite wood panels incorporate a unique herringbone pattern
that bring visual interest to the facade. HCM has won multiple design awards and accollades for this beautiful transformation, including a PA AIA Honor Award, a DC AIA Chapter Design Award in Architecture
and an AIA Baltimore Excellence in Design, Detail Award.
