The design of the new school creates adaptable spaces for various group sizes in instruction, while outdoor work spaces expand the opportunities for diverse learning environments.
Additionally, the restoration of the historic Ashburn Colored School, a one-room schoolhouse, was integral in the project site. During restoration, the new school's students learned the vast and storied history of the previous students as well.
